About The Role
As a chemist in the context of the describe job play a crucial role in applying your expertise in chemistry to optimize mineral processing techniques, improve resource recovery, and minimize environmental impact.

Job Responsibilities

• Developing and optimizing processes to extract rare earth elements (REEs) from the ore. This includes identifying suitable solvents, reagents, and separation techniques to isolate the complex mineral matrices they are found in.
• Analyzing the composition of ores and processed materials to determine the presence and concentration of different rare earth elements.
• Assess the environmental impact of rare earth mining operations. They study how extraction processes affect local ecosystems and water sources, and work on developing methods to minimize environmental damage and ensure sustainable practices.
• Engage in R&D to innovate and improve extraction processes. They work on developing new extraction methods that are more efficient, environmentally friendly, and economically viable. This can involve researching new chemicals, materials, and technologies.
• Develop protocols for quality control and assurance to meet industry standards and customer requirements.
• Ensure that mining operations comply with local and international regulations regarding safety, environmental protection, and handling of hazardous materials.

Job Requirement 

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or an equivalent field.
• At least 3 years’ experience in related to similar field.
• Able to communicate (read and write) in English, Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Experience in chemical testing is a definite advantage
• Willingness to learn and is independent and reliable.
