About The Role
As a chemist in the context of the describe job play a crucial role in applying your expertise in chemistry to optimize mineral processing techniques, improve resource recovery, and minimize environmental impact.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize processes for extracting rare earth elements (REEs) from ores, including identifying suitable solvents, reagents, and separation techniques to efficiently isolate complex mineral matrix
• Engage in research and development to innovate and improve extraction processes by researching and testing new chemicals, materials, and technologies, with the goal of developing efficient, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective extraction methods
• Develop protocols for quality control and assurance to meet industry standards and customer requirements, ensuring consistency and reliability of extracted REE products
• Ensure compliance with local regulations related to safety, environmental protection, and the handling of hazardous materials during mining and extraction operations
• Collaborate with the environmental team to assess and mitigate the environmental impact of extraction processes, promoting sustainable practices within mining operations
• Document and report findings from laboratory experiments, process trials, and quality testing to management and relevant stakeholders for continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide technical support to operations teams regarding chemical processes, troubleshooting, and process optimization related to REE extraction

Job Requirement 

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or an equivalent field
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related or similar field would be an advantage
• Fresh-Graduates are welcome to apply too (training will be provided)
• Proficiency in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Melayu (reading, speaking, and writing) is required
• Experience in chemical testing is a definite advantage
• Willingness to learn and is independent and reliable
